Resin 3D printers for detail
Quick answer
Resin is compelling for small detailed parts and smooth surfaces. Before buying, compare usable volume, consumables, cleaning, curing and the work area. The printer alone does not complete the workflow.
How it differs from FDM
Liquid resin cures under light in a vat. The build area is usually smaller than a desktop FDM printer, and every part needs washing and curing afterwards. Screen resolution alone does not tell you the actual pixel size or guarantee a result.
No models match this combination. Try another material or color.
Complete the workflow
See UV washing and curing and resin handling and post-processing. For larger functional parts, compare FDM by size.
