30 × 30 × 30 cm 3D printer: choosing medium size
A «30 × 30 × 30 cm printer» is useful shorthand for a medium machine. Not every model has identical dimensions on all three axes. The Prusa CORE One L+, for example, is listed at 300 × 300 × 330 mm: relevant to that scale without turning the numbers into rigid cutoffs.
Check the part, not just the label
Measure the complete part and place it in the slicer in the intended orientation. Leave room for supports, a brim or several objects on the plate. Rotation can help a diagonal fit, but Z height remains independent.
Allow installation space
The table must support the printer and allow for cables, spool and door opening. A 300 mm build width is not a 300 mm machine footprint.
A model to compare
